Quality Assurance Statement

Trans-Continental Group is committed to quality by maintaining and ensuring at every level throughout the company, a system of procedures aimed at ensuring we provide quality products and service.

Here at Trans-Continental Group we believe in training our staff to ensure at all times the products we order, receive and deliver are to the highest standard possible.

We utilise the following systems and principles to achieve this:

  • Membership of the Furniture Industry Research Association whom we use for testing our products to ensure compliance to European & British test standards. FIRA are the leading body in furniture testing and research. They continually develop new test standards and have also helped to develop many of the test standards in place today used throughout the EU.   • Ongoing training seminars in the latest European Regulations relating to product safety, ethical auditing of factories, inspection criteria and quality management systems.
  • Independent and own inspection teams based in the Far East to ensure all goods are checked before leaving the country of origin.
  • Independent and own audit teams ensuring all factories we use practice in line with the Ethical Trading Initiative. More information on this can be found at http://www.ethicaltrade.org/
  • Independent and own audit teams ensuring all factories practice good QMS (quality management systems) to ensure consistent quality of products ordered.
  • All items sourced are fully risk assessed and reviewed against the latest information relating to product safety and quality to ensure our customers are fully protected.
